The Premier League champions, Manchester City, set up for the biggest game in the club’s 141-year history this Saturday as they attempt to complete a treble and claim their first-ever Champions League trophy.
Nothing comes easy in football, but domestic titles and cups are almost a given when you hire Pep Guardiola. Despite being considered one of the best managers of all time, the Spaniard has spent a decade on the sidelines of this particular competition, with his last Champions League victory back in 2011 with Barcelona.
Manchester City head into the final enjoying a fantastic record in the competition. Unbeaten throughout their 20/21 Champions League campaign, a 0-0 draw against Porto remains the only blemish on their otherwise spotless record (11W 1D).
Sergio Aguero comes in at 7/5 (2.40) to close his long chapter with Manchester City with a goal this Saturday. Phil Foden is calculated at 12/5 (3.40) to become one of the youngest goal scorers in a Champions League final, with Ilkay Gundogan also a favourite to find the back of the net at 2/1 (3.00).
Thomas Tuchel has flipped the fortunes of his new side on their head. After coming in midway through the season – with Chelsea disappointingly located in ninth place in the Premier League, the former PSG coach has dragged his side into two finals and a top-four spot.
Under their German manager, Chelsea enjoyed an impressive run of 14 unbeaten games, which saw the Blues tear through opponents and return to both form and an expected table position. However, it has not been all good news for the Blues. A 1-0 loss against London rivals Arsenal, exposed the chinks in their armour – many of which Leicester City were able to exploit and steal a 1-0 victory in the FA Cup Final.
Although they had the last laugh on Leicester City by beating them into the top-four on the last day of the season, Chelsea fans may be fearing that the same might happen to them when they face Manchester City this Saturday. Despite two victories against their upcoming rivals in their most recent games against each other, Chelsea are still viewed as the underdogs, valued at 17/10 (2.70), to lift the Champions League trophy.
If you fancy the Blues to replicate their low scoring wins against City, we’ve got you covered with Chelsea to win with under 3.5 goals at 15/4 (4.75).
