Italy will line up as deserved finalists this weekend when they take on England at Wembley Stadium.
Although they were always considered to have an outsider’s chance, not many would have backed the Azzurri to make it all the way before the competition got underway.
Since his appointment as the national team manager, Roberto Mancini has drilled Italy into a well-oiled machine. Off the back of an impressive run, the Italians came out of the gate flying in the first game of the EURO 2020 (2021) competition and never looked back. Disciplined in their approach and at no time looking like a team likely to finish a game on the losing side, Italy now sport a jaw-dropping record of 33-matches unbeaten ahead of the final this Sunday.
Quelling the Spanish threat in the semi-finals was a challenging yet necessary hurdle the Azzurri had to overcome. Although the extra time in their legs won’t do them any favours this Sunday, Roberto Mancini can rest a little easier knowing that should push come to shove, if Italy find themselves in a similar position against England this weekend, his side have the experience and mental fortitude to overcome the nerves surrounding a penalty shootout.

Much to the delight of their adoring fans, the Three Lions overcame a tough semi-final fixture against Denmark and booked their place in the EURO 2020 (2021) Final!
Always considered to be tournament favourites, England have not disappointed.
Although Gareth Southgate’s side almost made it the whole way without conceding a single goal, there was a general feeling that England were playing their opening fixtures with the handbrake up. However, it was this pragmatic approach to games that enabled the Three Lions to finally progress to a final – after waiting on the sidelines for over 55 years and 302 games.
Despite them taking a trickier route, England were able to eventually best their semi-final opponents. Levelling the score after finding themselves a goal down, England managed to push the game into extra time, before a somewhat controversial penalty allowed Harry Kane to carry his side into the final.
Harry Kane comes in at 3/2 (2.50) to replicate his semi-final heroics and score for his side at any time during the 90 minutes, while Raheem Sterling is calculated at 15/2 (8.50) to get the first goal of the final.
