National League preview- Matchday 5

Another goal-fest took place in the National League on Tuesday night with 35 goals scored across the 12 fixtures. The National League marks its 40th year anniversary this weekend, and we’re sure to see thrills and spills up and down the country. Wrexham have now scored in 10 consecutive league games under Bryan Hughes, excluding the playoffs and picked up all three points against previous league leaders FC Halifax Town on Tuesday night. In the words of the Bootlegger, Pop pickers will look to back their side who travel to Notts County on Sunday afternoon with the hosts picking up four points from their first four games. At the other end of the table, Chesterfield have now gone eight league games in a row without keeping a clean sheet. Their last shut-out was a 0-0 draw at Dover in April. Both teams to score may be worth a punt as they travel to Barnet, and has been an outcome in two of the host’s four games this term. Solihull Moors’ 6-1 win at Chorley on Tuesday was the club’s joint-highest National League victory and are one of four unbeaten sides in the league. The Moors are now unbeaten in eight home league games (excluding play-offs) and face bottom of the table Ebbsfleet this weekend, who themselves have gone nine league games without a win. Tim Flowers’ side have scored more (13) than any other team so far this season, whilst Gary Hill’s men have conceded 11 goals, which is the most in the division. The half-time/full-time market will be worth checking out for this one. Each week LV BET will be providing punters with some exclusive enhanced odds, and this week we’re offering you Barrow to beat Yeovil at 30/1.

National League preview- Matchday 4

FC Halifax Town remain the only side in the National League with a 100% record, having won their first three league games of the season for the second campaign in a row. Pete Wilde will be hoping his side can make that four on the spin as they travel to Wrexham on Tuesday night. The Shayman picked up four out of a possible six points against the Red Dragons last season. Halifax haven’t won at the Racecourse Ground in over 20 years, and we make Wrexham slight favourites for this one. Newly promoted Woking made it two from three with a 1-0 home win against Harrogate Town. They’ve kept two clean sheets so far this season. Chesterfield would have hoped to have made a better start to their campaign, picking up two points so far. Both teams not to score may be a good bet at the Proact Stadium. No team has seen more goals scored in their three matches thus far (12) than Torquay United, and no team has seen less goals scored in their opening fixtures (4) than Maidenhead United. The draw may be an option punters wish to back tonight. Tuesday night sees Yeovil visit Stonebirdge Road and Ebbsfleet will look to get their season up and running. The Glovers enjoyed early season away form last term and it may be that the half-time/full-time market that temps punters on this occasion. Simeon Akinola was the match-winner for Barnet against Notts County and joins Alfie Pavey and Harry Beautyman (3) at the top of the National League goalscoring charts. He’s averaging a goal every 84 minutes and is excellent value to be the league’s top scorer come the end of the season. It is however AFC Fylde’s Danny Rowe who is the favourite to out-score every other striker in the National League come May.

National League preview and predictions

Another action-packed night of football on Tuesday saw 27 goals scored across the National League, with Harrogate Town and Solihull Moors sealing impressive 3-0 victories against their respective opponents. The games are coming thick and fast. This weekend league leaders FC Halifax Town face Dagenham & Redbridge who lie in 15th. Between them, the two sides have scored 8 goals in the last two games, and if you fancy nets to budge in this one, over 3.5 goals is good value.Chorley F.C go into matchday three as the only side in the National League yet to concede. If you think they’ll keep their third clean sheet in a row against Sutton United, the match to finish 0-0 is tempting as is the game finish with less than 1.5 goals.Favourites for promotion AFC Fylde face Ebbsfleet United this weekend. Ebbsfleet will be looking to take their first points of the campaign, whilst AFC Fylde will hope to build on their positive start. Both teams to score and AFC Fylde to emerge winners excellent value.Torquay United face Bromley with both sides seeing plenty of goals in their respective opening fixtures. Over 2.5 at looks like a good bet. After a mention earlier in the week Dover Athletic’s Alfie Pavey notched again taking his tally to three in two. He’s one to watch out for to finish as this season’s leading goalscorer.

2019/20 National League Fixtures all set for big kick-off

The National League Fixtures kick off this coming Saturday, with 24 clubs competing for the coveted prize of a place in the Football League. The early kick-off, televised on BT Sport, sees Stockport County host Maidenhead United. It’s been nine years since Stockport were last in the Football League but they moved a step closer to a return with their promotion to the National League last season and they can get off to the best possible start here, with a home win at 17/20.Last season’s title race went down to the final week of the season, with Solihull Moors ultimately losing out to Leyton Orient. Solihull will be hoping to go one better this time around and they begin their campaign with a trip to Harrogate Town. This looks a difficult one to call though and many will see the draw as good value at 11/5.Much fancied Chesterfield welcome Dover Athletic to the Proact Stadium and though odds on at 4/5, they will be well backed this weekend. Meanwhile, Notts County, favourites for the title this season, travel to Eastleigh in what has the makings of an entertaining clash. Backing over 2.5 goals could be the go to bet at 21/10.Last season’s losing Promotion Finalists AFC Fylde begin away at Aldershot Town. Manager Dave Challinor has invested in the summer to support main striker Danny Rowe and the addition of Halifax’s Matty Kosylo looks to be a very shrewd one. The Coasters can begin this campaign with a victory on the road at 5/4.

LVBET - National League preview 2019/20 - A look at promotion.

It promises to be another thrilling season in the National League with a host of clubs believing they have the quality required to take that leap into the Football League.National League Official betting partner, LVBET lists Notts County as the title favourites and while the Magpies are yet to add to their numbers this summer, their settled squad will be well fancied to set the pace.Their form pre-season has been good and under Neil Ardley, they will aim to put off the field issues behind them and look for a quick return to the Football League. One point of note for Notts County is that favourites for the National League title have not had a good record in previous years.Last season’s losing Promotion Finalists AFC Fylde will be keen to go one step better this time around and are joint second favourites for promotion, alongside Chesterfield. Both have been very active in the transfer market, with incomings and outgoings.Looking at AFC Fylde in more detail, Dave Challinor’s men will look to striker Danny Rowe to score them the goals for promotion and with investment in the squad will be hoping others can chip in to give AFC Fylde promotion success at the end of this season.Chesterfield had a good end to the season once John Sheridan took over and smart investment in their squad has optimism in the betting market ahead of the start of the season and they will likely see more backers over the coming week to get promoted.Wrexham, Harrogate Town and Barnet are the next four teams in the promotion betting shakeup, but several others will fancy their chances too in what looks to be a very competitive division. If you fancy an outsider this season, both Solihull Moors and Stockport County are on offer at bigger odds to be promoted, while Torquay have attracted interest in making it back-to-back promotions.
